Evaluations for Spanish Speakers
For native Spanish speakers, finding a qualified evaluator is challenging at best. Using interpreters and translators can lead to misunderstandings. Best practice calls for all aspects of evaluations to be completed in a client's first language by someone who also has an understanding of culture.
We offer psychosexual evaluations in Spanish, with a report and feedback session offered to the client in Spanish and to the referral source in English.
FUEGOS Treatment Program
The FUEGOS (FUErza para Gente con Ofensas Sexuales) Treatment Program is unique in that it offers programming completely in Spanish, from start to finish. We incorporate cultural values, family dynamics, and community norms relevant to Latine communities in our strengths-based program while remaining mindful of traditional programming and best practices. We work with clients to create individualized treatment plans, with a focus on graduation from the very beginning. All clients are treated with dignity and respect, from the language we use to how they are supported in the choices they make, as we all work towards prevention of further harm.
